NBA 2K23 MyTEAM “Out of Position” Event Details

As the NBA 2K23 season enters what is commonly referred to as “End Game,” the game is introducing more and more unrealistic cards for consumers. While some fans are excited about this, others are not thrilled with the cheesy and unrealistic nature of these cards. On the other hand, some people are waiting to see what happens next in this evolving game.

The annual Twitter tease for the new cards took place recently, with 2K announcing a new game-changing drop that players dread every year. Out of Position cards were introduced, featuring some interesting players playing in unusual positions.

The Out of Position cards come in various ratings, with Bill Russell, Jimmy Butler, Scottie Barnes, and Draymond Green among the highest-rated cards. Al Horford, Matisse Thybulle, and Tacko Fall are among the lower-rated cards.

The Out of Position Pack has a three-part skill challenge that rewards the player with a free Out of Position Pack when they complete all three parts:

• The first part of the challenge involves playing a Triple Threat game to 21 points against the Pink Diamond Out of Position theme team on semi-pro and winning the game.
• The second part is to play a Triple Threat game to 21 points against the Galaxy Opal Out of Position theme team on pro and win the game while grabbing five rebounds with a player.
• The final part is to play a four-quarter game of three minutes each against the Out of Position theme team on all-star and win the game.

Although Out of Position is one of the biggest drops of the game cycle every year, this year’s release is a bit different. A pack strike, initiated by content creator Matt Mojo, is currently happening in the Twitter community, with players sending a message to 2K about their pack odds and the way they treat their consumers.

This year, it will also be the first time 2K does not do anything special for St. Patrick’s Day. The content drop falls on the annual Irish holiday, but instead of releasing a St. Patty’s themed Irish player or a locker code for a Celtics player, 2K chose not to release any new content related to the holiday.

It will be an interesting weekend of content over in MyTEAM as Out of Position cards were recently introduced. Fans are curious to see what happens next as the NBA 2K23 season progresses.
